The Bigger the List, the Bigger Your Wallet

It’s a simple truth: More email contacts means more potential clients means more sales.

We’re not at all telling you to focus only on your bottom line. Sales aren’t everything!

Building up credibility and trust with your audience, nurturing a long-term relationship with your clients, and focusing on the value of the services you provide are crucial elements of your business that you can’t ignore. Plus, these are the things that will lead to more sales and profits down the road.

With that in mind, it’s a good idea to approach your email marketing as a work in progress. As you grow your email list and connect with your subscribers, you’ll naturally start to gain loyalty from your clients and you’ll begin to reap the financial benefits of all your upfront effort.

Do the Hard Work First

Growing your list takes time and energy…but it’s all worth it in the end. Email marketing is extremely lucrative, with an ROI of 42:1–that means that if you haven’t started your email marketing journey, it’s time to get started!

Viewing email marketing with intention and strategy will help you prioritize list growth and help you get the return on investment you’re looking for. After all, more subscribers means more opportunities for someone to convert, so building up your base of engaged email contacts is better for business.

Intention and strategy means you’ll need to spend time setting up your platform, adding in lead-capture forms to your website and social media, and planning and writing the email sequences to get your subscribers invested in your business.

There’s a lot to be covered here, so check out this blog for more tips and insight.

Treat Subscribers Like Royalty

Once you have your email marketing strategy set up and in action, it’s time to play the long game. Your job here is to nurture your audience, give them free info, and make their lives better every single time they open an email from you.

When you go in with every intention to help your audience, you’re well on your way to building a successful and sustainable email strategy. Be as generous as you possibly can with all of the FREE information you’re sending out–tips, tricks, how-to guides, and anything else your subscribers could benefit from.

View every subscriber as someone you want to help directly. Focus on solving your subscribers’ problems and making their lives better, and they’ll come to see you as an industry expert who really knows her stuff. When they see all the value you offer, they’ll start to be excited about working with you and actually paying for your services.

What Goes Around, Comes Around

Over time, you’ll see customers start to make purchases and buy your products or services. As soon as that happens, your email list has started to make you some money!

When your email list starts generating revenue, you’ll want to help more. You’ll have the capacity to provide more. You’ll be able to give more, help your audience, and grow your list even more.

There’s a cycle here: More subscribers = more experience providing value = more knowledge = more impact.

If you’re not quite to this stage yet, don’t worry. Be incentivized to keep nurturing, growing, and expanding your subscriber base. Knowing that an expanding email list means greater profits gets you in the mindset to actually build that list!
